In the current economic climate, waste is our biggest enemy, waste can take many forms:

• Agency drivers reporting for work, found an empty office and had to wait excessively for a Manager/Supervisor to attend to them.
• Drivers and warehousemen were double booked in error, and instead of dealing with the root cause, the Supervisors, in the case of drivers, split runs to accommodate them.
• Little or no legal compliances were adhered to.

These are just of the few of the issues that were identified, and subsequently rectified. Most if not all were being covered, so that the Senior Manager was unaware, except for the escalation in both costs, and customer complaints.
